Núcleo IA & GP

Voluntary inter-chapter PMI® Brazil research initiative on AI ⨯ Project Management

Anchored by an open-source platform that binds the management framework, documents and structures the procedural and information flow, and gamifies the volunteer journey — where AI is both research subject and operational substrate. Designed so any PMI chapter globally can adopt the operational model.

Problem

01.

PMI Brazilian chapters had distributed appetite for AI ⨯ Project Management research but no shared operational substrate to coordinate volunteer work, capture knowledge, or track contributions across chapters. Volunteer-run initiatives typically fragment across spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, and ad-hoc Google Drives — losing both signal and momentum.

Approach

02.

Open-source multi-tenant platform with governance chains, LGPD-by-design, trilingual UX (EN · PT · ES), and an MCP-based AI integration layer wired to the external tools volunteers already use (Drive · GitHub · Canva · Credly · PMI VEP · Calendar · WhatsApp). Co-founded 2024 as a PMI Goiás pilot; structured as a federated alliance from the outset so any chapter can adopt the operational model. The open-source platform and the management framework are authored and documented by Vitor; the voluntary initiative itself is collectively founded and led. AI as both research subject and operational substrate — not just a topic studied, but the engine that runs the org.

Impact

03.

50+ volunteers across federated Brazilian chapters (PMI-GO · PMI-CE · PMI-DF · PMI-MG · PMI-RS) organized in research streams and operational workgroups. Inter-institutional collaborations welcome. Platform: 32 Cloudflare Edge Functions, 266 MCP tools, 4,000+ i18n keys across 3 locales, 1,418+ tests passing, $0/month infrastructure.
